Julie and Debbie, Zumba dance instructors in Bury have again organised an event to raise cash for a very worthy charity. Zumba In the Park is an event run in aid of Bury Hospice and which took place today, 24/06/2012.
The event was supposed to be at Close Park in Radcliffe however due to the adverse weather conditions, and with the park being under 3 feet of water the location was changed to Chesham Primary School in Bury at the last minute.
Registration started from 12pm for an hour before the dancing and fun would begin. On arrival people signed in and were given a Zumba in The Park Tshirt and a goodie-bag.
The excitement began as people were asked to come outside at 1pm for a group photo. A short warm up and then everyone started getting in the swing of things. Julie, one of the instructors was singing along with the music track and getting the other Zumba dancers involved with the chorus’.

Debbie unfortunately had hurt her foot but was there giving words of encouragement.
The weather on the day like last year, wasn’t the best, with outbursts of rain but this didn’t dampen spirits. The Zumba dancers just carried on regardless.
Two whole hours of non-stop Zumba! The whole afternoon was a huge success and only as the dancing finished the sun began to shine haha 🙂
