Neighbours Finale

Everyone I know knows that I have watched almost every episode of Neighbours

(there was the two weeks in the 90s when Cheryl Stark died. I fancied a girl a college and didn't think she would fancy me if I watched Neighbours - and me being around 18 year's old I didn't watch it for two weeks lol. Sod her, I've watched it till now and I'm 44 🤣).

Anyway I would call myself a fellow resident of Ramsay Street if only in spirit.

I've grown up watching Neighbours and feel like I know each character like they are my friends. I care about them like they are family.

I've watched the Neighbours Finale a bit later than I planned - a few hours later; not too late to make this post meaningless.

I want to say that Susan's monologue at the end was a very fitting end to the 37-year series. I'm not ashamed to say that it brought a tear or more to my eyes during the episode; this was especially when she mentioned about people who had died, that's when the tears really burst out.

To be honest, I've teared up a few times over the past two weeks as the show came to a conclusion.

I know that the characters are just actors playing a part, but the skill they have in making you believe they are real is magic.

My thanks go out to everyone who made Neighbours. Actors, writers, producers, behind the scenes teams, and everyone in-between. You really have been there with me through my childhood and adulthood and kept me going. Thank you for every line written, every line learnt, every word spoken.

You are all Amazing and I thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Paul
